Brook Stern is a great friend from college.  Years ago she started a foundation/non profit called S.O.U.L. Uganda. SOUL’S mission is to expand the reach of educational opportunities to impoverished Ugandan communities by laying a foundation of unique and bold initiatives that occur in and out of the classroom.  After not seeing her for awhile, I’ll never forget the day we met up for a chat in Denver, this was about two years ago, and she told me all about it.  The vision, the passion, and energy she put out when speaking about it was special.  She gave me a folder full of literature that I still have to this day, but it was on that day that I told myself that I would go to Uganda and see her work.  There have been instances where I wanted to go but the timing was wrong or I overbooked myself, the last time I tried to go I had passport issues, but going there is on my agenda!  Years ago  I told her I would come, so I am, and in the 2nd season of my show I will be going there to do an episode and showing the inspiring work her and team does.  Brooke is an individual who shows that you can go out into the world and make an impact and make a difference in people’s lives, but also MAKE IT LASTING.  To me the most important thing you can do in life is to help others in whatever way can.  I’m inspired by her all the time and I can not wait to show you guys the work she does.  Brooke I want to say that you are an incredible human being and I can not wait to witness Uganda with my own eyes.  BROOKE KEEP INSPIRING!  To learn more about S.O.U.L.
