Film” ’42′ Trailer – Jackie Robinson Movie
In 1947 a man named Jackie Robinson would change baseball forever being the first black man to play in the major leagues signing to the then Brooklyn Dodgers and breaking the racial segregation that confined so many talented black players to negro leagues for 60 years. This story comes to the big screen in April 2013 and I can’t wait to see it. Amongst the cast is Harrison Ford who plays Dodgers owner Branch Rickey, Chris Meloni (also a university of colorado grad) who was the star of Law and Order: SVU, is currently in True Blood, and will be in the New Super Man film, Man of Steel. Lucas Black who was in such films at Friday Night Lights and Jar Head plays pitcher Pee Wee Reese. Chadwick Boseman will be playing Jackie Robinson, I love this because the studio went with an unknown, being an actor this is the opportunity you want and I am sure he relished in it, can’t wait to see him on the big screen.
