New City, New Opportunities, New Job

It has been a fast four months for me here in NYC. Right when I moved I got a national commercial, signed to Paradigm, which is one of the top entertainment agencies, continued my work with Greg on the documentary at Harlem Prep Charter School, and now am work working with ISH Entertainment on their digital side as a host of a new show called My ISH. Ish has been responsible for putting many reality shows on TV, click here to see which. I’m so glad to get back into hosting music and really glad to be working with such a reputable company and great people. I’ll be posting more, but I can tell you already the people I’ve met thus far has been CRAZY! Here is a preview of my job as host of My Ish, more news to come! Enjoy!

Mansions on the Moon x Zee Avi (Concrete Walls)- REMIX

About four weeks while in Los Angeles I went over to Mansions on the Moon house. Going there is always great, I get to catch up, see how they are doing, and I always get to listen to the new music. Lane brought me down to the studio rehearsal place and played a song they remixed in collaboration with an amazing singer/songwriter named Zee Avi. Her vocals mixed with Mansions production makes for a song that will be on repeat! Listen below and if you are NYC on February 23rd Zee Avi will be playing at the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn. I’ll be there for sure.

Recently I had the amazing opportunity to act in the new HTC Rezound commercial. The phone, which I recently just received (big shout out to Lori Becker from HTC for the phone) is off the hook. Working on a commercial to that scale was an amazing experience, but for me the best part was honestly all the people I met. Everyone at the paramount lot, actors, crew, and makeup and wardrobe, everyone was so DAMN COOL! I just want to say thanks to everyone involved from the people at HTC, to the ad agency, and to everyone who worked on set. Gotta thank my man Ant Coleman who I’ve worked with many teams and who with his team at Deutsch did a great job on this commercial. The commercial turned out so DOPE! Music was by Machine Gun Kelly and track was produced by Alex Da Kid (Grammy award winning producer…Eminen, Rhianna, Nicki Minaj, you get it). If you are on Verizon and need a new phone get the REZOUND, it is CRAZY! YO…I’M ON MY WAY, I just might be.

Music: Luke Christopher – Building Skies Mixtape

In April 2011 I got a call from a great friend, managing editor at Slamxhype, and art director at Deutsch, Anthony Coleman, about an artist out of L.A. I needed to know about named Luke Christopher. Anthony connected me with Luke’s manager Jason Salvador because at the time he needed a new bio and I was asked if I could do a basic interview so they could create one. In doing some research I asked around about him, I talked to DJ Wreckineyez (Asher Roth’s tour DJ) and in describing him he said “he’s Drake, B.O.B., and Bruno Mars in one,” this caught my interest right away and then I was sent some tracks. Immediately I knew I was listening to something special, at 18 he is someone beyond his years and someone that is going to have a phenomenal career. A writer, MC, singer, and Producer here is the newest project from Luke Christopher. Here is Building Skies.

Friend and MC Asher Roth blesses us with new music with his recent release of Pabst and Jazz. Since his 2009 album release of Asleep in the Bread Aisle he has come out with two projects, the Seared Foie Gras with Quince and Cranberry mixtape, and a collaboration EP with Virginia producer Nottz, entitled The Rawth EP. To finish out 2011 he drops Pabst and Jazz, and as with all the other projects, he again delivers another great body of work that showcases his lyrical talent. Track List and download link below.

A-Trak and Fools Gold, as they always do put together another dope party for the holidays. Had to take a photo opportunity with the homies, Jasmine Solano(Side Ponytail), DJ Wonder(O’s hat in the front), and Shyvonne (Pink Lipstick). Everybody else in the picture I met that night and were cool as hell. Happy Holidays from New York City!

Nike Sportswear x Amar’e Stoudemire – always on live event in NYC

One of my favorite people brands Nike Sportswear has teamed up with New York Knick Amar’e Stoudemire for the premier of his “Always On” video. It will premiere tonight at 21 Mercer in New York City and there will be a Livestream of the event and the “Always On” video. The voice of New York Angie Martinez is hosting, with live performance’s by Stalley, French Montana, JesseBoykins III, and Vado.

Nike is also giving away four pairs of AF1 Bespokes pictured above that Amar’e designed. All you have to do is submit a question to @nikesportswear’s twitter for Amar’e and he will pick for favorites.
